Great, unique diver. Just buy it already!
Just buy it already! This is my first automatic watch, I really like the idea of mechanical watches but wasn't sure if I would like it in practice. After a month or so of wearing it, I really enjoy everything about this watch, including winding and resetting if I don't wear it for a couple of days, just adds to the charm and reminds me that my arm is not connected to the internet :). If you don't want to wear it every day and don't want to wind, there are always automatic winders. The stock photos from Bulova don't do this watch justice (sorry Bulova) and don't capture how three dimensional this watch is; look for reviews online with photos. My favorite thing about this watch are the cylindrical hour markers in settings, especially when combined with the domed sapphire crystal; the combination makes the watch like no other watch I have seen. I really like the bright orange with cross hairs, and the 41mm face is just the right size for such a bright color, its not so big that the color becomes obnoxious. Bezel rotate in only one direction (as a diver should) and is actually functional with strong clicks. The case is polished and the band is a nice rubber that doesn't seem to collect dust. Although this doesn't apply to most, I am an Oceanographer so its cool having a watch made just for me :) (except I didn't get an oceanographer discount...) Plus when on a ship the rocking keeps it wound even when not worn! The sapphire crystal is not easily scratched; a nice feature when working on ships with lots of possible scratch points.

A great version of the Devil Diver watch!
There are so many great design features in this particular version of the Devil Diver watch. The most unique part is probably the color of the dial. It is a very eye-catching intense orange that I have not seen with any other watch. At first glance, it may have even felt too bright. After owning it for some time, however, it is now my favorite watch in my collection now for this reason. The hour indices are also highlighted by tube-like markers which create quite an effect. In addition, the date magnifier is applied under the case, adding to the watches unique sense of refinement and attention to detail. Overall, I must say that this is a must own for anyone interested in the Devil Diver collection.
