Wish it didn’t smell bad

I had the same ones from a few years back and loved them. These came with thicker cover, which is nice. I usually use duvet cover anyway. However these comforter had a heavy smell of goose. I tried airing it out for a week, tried air fluff in the dryer, and using fans. Cannot get rid of the smell. Wanted to love these new ones but just couldn’t.

History of quality

I have good history with charter club down comforter. This will be my third purchase and I hope to enjoy them as much as the other purchases from the past.

Charter Club Down Comforter (Med Weight )

This down comforter is an excellent product . I purchased one back in 2011 and was looking for a new one in 2025 . I choose a different product at Macys for the second purchase and ended up returning and getting this down comforter again .

The outer material was terrible! Its stiff, has a weird texture and not at all fluffy. The comforter also has a heavy feeling. It was immediately returned.

Smell and fall out

Smells like a hamster's cage bedding for some reason, and there's feathers EVERYWHERE. Nonstop fallout. Gets the job done though I suppose.
