Mixed review: design good; size &odor disappointing

Purchased queen Antique Pine quilt set along with valence from the Country Pine collection and accent pillow from Raising Pine Cone collection, since the pillow for this set was unavailable to order. Though obviously not perfect matches, they make for a warm and welcoming guest room. The quilt and shams are good quality for the price and launder well. The quilt is dissapointingly small (though it measures as described) and barely covers the 12 inch mattress with pad, so I'd suggest buying the king size for a queen bed. The chemical smell of quilt and shams is so bad that anything that touched it picked up the smell. Odor dissipated only marginally after washing with deoderizing crystals and detergent. But after several weeks it is only noticeable when you are very close.
