Play foam

It was difficult to make any shapes other than blobs. It broke into smaller pieces and got into rugs and clothing. Some left a yellow stain on a plastered wall and some took the colour out of a photograph. Even at hing an adult 'play' with it on YouTube could not make it look exciting. I think it was very expensive and was not captivating for any age group.

Perfect for Halloween, Stocking Stuffers and Easter

Considering the times, I wanted to buy something that would be safe for kids Trick or Treating and I thought these would be great. The parents can clean the package and the kids could still be able to play with what is inside. I am thinking of buying more for Stocking stuffers and for Easter baskets too. I think this is a much better option over candy, kids can use this more than one time. I think parents will feel more safe knowing their kids received something they can play with and not have to worry about it- as I was thinking for my own child that I don't know how I feel about him receiving candy this year. this is a perfect alternative.

We love playfoam

I run a children's playgroup and pre-school, and we discovered play foam some years ago. It is MUCH better than playdough, as it doesn't dry out or stick to clothes/carpets/toys or anything else. We have it out almost daily, and eventually it all becomes one large multi-coloured mass, but still looks pretty and the children still love it. It really stimulates the children's creativity, and is also great for making letter shapes, numbers, shapes, doing fractions (halves, quarters), length, counting, adding and subtracting - in fact anything you can think of. The less confident children love it as if you make a mistake it is so easy to start again, and your mistake disappears. We find it lasts about a year, but then becomes a bit grubby and sometimes a little smelly after being used by so many hands, but it isn't expensive (and we watch out for the sales) so we throw it all out, wash the container, and start again with pristine colours. Only snag is the sparkle stuff, which we only tried once. The glitter comes out and gets everywhere, and it stains.

Good, but doesn't last very long

Someone actually got this for me for me for Christmas because they know that I like to have fidget toys at my computer to play with while I'm working. I opened one pod and started playing with it, and it was pretty good. After first opening it, it's kind of tough but easy to break into. However, I found that after just a few days, the foam balls start to shrink and it becomes much smaller than before. The balls also fall out constantly and it can make a big mess. Since there's very little actual slime in it, the balls dry up quickly and it becomes really grimy and not fun to play with. I started mixing pairs of foam pods together to keep the size and I opened a new pod about once a week. Overall, it's pretty good for playing with while it's fresh. Just don't expect it to last very long.

I would definitely recommend this product to a friend.

My daughter likes to create things with it. It's great because it does not dry out or destroy your carpet. I am a kindergarten aide and we could use it to practice making letters. .

Great Colorful Fun!

Great for creative play without all of the messy clean up involved with clay and dough...the colors are wonderful--some even have glitter in them!

Terrible product, made huge mess

Immediately started finding balls everywhere. Our daughter has a stuffed bunny that she sleeps with every night. The balls were so entangled in the bunny's fur that we had to wash it overnight. The balls then got all in our washing machine and dryer, and over everything else that we washed. I am not one to write reviews, but wanted to warn other parents about this!

Pretty good form

We used this foam for a 2nd grade habitat project. It starts off strong molding into many different shapes (we were doing coral) but eventually falls apart or "wilts" . Still it was colorful and fun and worked in the end.
