The New York Times and USA Today bestselling series soars to even greater heights with a new prophecy and five new dragonets ready to claim their destiny!Peril has been loyal to Queen Scarlet, who used her fatal firescales to kill countless dragons in the SkyWing arena. Now, Peril is loyal to Clay, the only dragonet who has ever been her friend. So when Scarlet threatens Jade Mountain Academy, Peril sets off to find her former queen, stop her, and save the day, no matter what it takes. There's just one problem: a strangely persistent SeaWing, Turtle, insists on coming along, too. Turtle is worried about his friends, who left to search for Scarlet and haven't returned. Peril is worried that she might accidentally burn Turtle — or burn him on purpose, for being so annoying — and frustrated that she keeps saying and doing the wrong things. She can't escape her firescales, and she can't escape her reputation as the deadliest dragon in Pyrrhia. So when she's offered a chance to trade everything for a new life, Peril has to decide who she's really loyal to . . . and whether her own scales might actually be worth saving.

An amazing addition to the series!!

I just finished reading Wings of Fire Escaping Peril by Tui. T Sutherland and I wanted to share my thoughts with you. I absolutely loved the book! The storytelling was captivating and the characters really came to life on the pages. I would rate Wings of Fire Escaping Peril a 4 out of 5. It was a fantastic read that kept me entertained from start to finish. The world building was incredible and the plot twists kept me on the edge of my seat. The author really knows how to capture the magic of storytelling and I can't wait to read more from this series. The main character, a notorious and feared monster because of her fire scales, is on a mission to redeem herself by taking down an evil queen that her new best friends fear. It's so interesting to see her transformation throughout the book as she tries to make amends for her past actions and become a better person, or dragon. The character development and plot twists in this book were truly impressive, and I couldn't put it down once I started reading. I would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys fantasy and adventure. I felt like I was personally right there beside the hero dragons on their journey in Pyrrhia. The way Tui T. Sutherland intertwines the characters' stories and develops their personalities is truly captivating. From facing life-threatening situations to overcoming personal struggles, the main character’s (peril) resilience and determination were truly inspiring. Their journey taught us valuable lessons about the power of patience, perseverance, and staying true to one's character, even in the toughest of times. It is almost ironic how the main character in the book is named Peril. If you're a fan of fantasy and adventure, I highly recommend checking out "Wings of Fire: Escaping Peril". Trust me, you won't be disappointed.
