Wobbly legs

The assembly required was inserting the legs into the predrilled holes on the bottom of the foot rest. There was no information regarding the insertion. I didn’t know if i needed to use a hammer to pound the legs in or if they screwed in. I decided to use a hammer to pound the legs in but there was still a gap and a slight wiggle of the legs. I ended up with a wobbly foot rest.
