Very Good Shoes

I decided to upgrade to Johnston & Murphy from my prior brand (begins w/ an F) at the recommendation of a friend of mine who is a national speaker and on his feet for 8-12 hours/day. I have owned the Melton for about a month and my best description is that they possess the comfort of running shoes without sacrificing style. I am very impressed.

Handsome, stylist, comfortable, an affordable luxu

I am a Johnston & Murphy fan. This is the only brand I wear with suits and casual dressings. This is a handsome wear. I have a different style in black, so I was looking for on in a brownish color. I was blown away at how comfortable these shoes are. 100 and 10% satisfied!

Very disappointed

I bought these shoes (in bordeaux color) for my husband and even though he hardly ever wears them they have not held up well. They have light scuff marks on the heels, but the scuff marks are a whitish/pink color. It's almost as if the bordeaux color is painted onto a white leather and the bordeaux has been scratched off. The same thing has happened where the shoes are laced -- the laces have scratched the leather and now there are ugly white marks where the laces touch the leather. They could not be shined or repairs by our local shoe repair place. I would not recommend these at all. Perhaps the black shoes do not do this though, as it seems like a lot of people are happy with them.

Shoe review

Received them in a timely manner. Great shoe, fits well as described, very comfortable. The only derogatory is the aglets are too big or the holes are too small and the shoestrings are too short. Would buy another pair. Very well priced.

Best Shoe

I love my Johston & Murphy Melton cap toe shoes. They are classically designed and have no equals for the price. The finish is lustrous and the sole holds up to wear better than any shoe I have ever owned.

Best Value

I wear these shoes to work every day. They are an excellent everyday shoe that conveys both style and professional class. The only complaint is that the cordovan will scuff and they sole will wear out in 9-12 months. This is my 5th pair of these shoes.
