Great buy

Absolutely one of the best paring knoves on the market. The comparatively chunky handle makes it very comfortable to use in hand.

Great parer

This is a really unique paring knife. The handle shape really fits perfectly in the palm of my hand, a shape that I’ve never seen in another knife collection outside of the Meiji. With it having 100 layers of FC61 stainless steel, this knife peels so smoothly and beautifully. It looks great and is a solid Japanese knife.

Unique Bob Kramer design

The 3" blade is great for detail work, peeling or removing blemishes. The handle is fuller and chunky. The detail on the blade and wood handle is beautiful.

distinctive

Beautifully crafted and impeccably sharp. The handle is ample in your hands and this 4" paring knife feels larger than it's actual size. I use this knife for peeling and slicing fruits and vegetable with precision.

A wide paring knife!

This paring knife feels great in your hand and has a wide blade that covers more than a traditional narrow blade. They say this is a left handed handle knife, it is comfortable for both and durable. It is perfect for cutting fruits and so as to cutting small vegetables and meat.

Pakkawood Paring

The Pakkawood handle on this paring knife has a more pronounced ridge for a better grip. Unique 101 layer Damascus pattern blade is scalpel sharp for precision peeling and small cutting tasks.

Parinig Love

Oh Meiji how I love you so! The 8" chef is my go to knife in the kitchen so only natural to add to it and so happy I did. This is one of the most comfortable paring knives I own. The core of the blade is made from FC61 carbide and its surrounded by 100 layers of additional steel which creates a beautiful Damascus pattern. The handle is an exaggerated D sharp that is comfortable and fits into any hand. It is perfect for detailed work or a quick chop.

Great paring knife for a full hand grip

If you hold your knives with your full hand - like a handshake - this is a terrific paring knife for you. It's maneuverability, even with a 4-inch blade, is pretty awesome. Even if you use a pinch grip, this blade moves easily and so effortlessly that you'll think it's an extension of your hand. Plus the Meiji line is as tough as it is beautiful. Made of 101 layers of steel, and ice hardened in the process, this tough knife will work hundreds of menus before it needs to be sharpened. The patterned blade signifies its Damascus-style layering. The bright stainless is eye catching. The handle is a little longer than traditional handles. Great for larger hands.
