I am a avid fan of Tim Burton’s Nightmare Before Christmas movie. I am especially fond of Sally and this book did not disappoint. I loved how Long Live the Pumpkin Queen progressed and the Sally backstory was unique and unexpected and I loved every single moment of this book. The imagery was breathtaking. I can’t wait for what’s next.

My fiancé bought it for me for Christmas. I couldn't put it down. Every chance I got to read another chapter I took. The story telling is captivating and imaginative. I felt like I was watching it come to life by every word. Great read!

Missed Potential: A Disappointing Journey Through
Here’s a polished and professional revision of your review: As a devoted fan of The Nightmare Before Christmas, I approached this book with high expectations, but unfortunately, it has left me puzzled and disappointed. It’s unclear who the intended audience is, and the quality of the writing feels lacking. Sally’s character, for instance, is portrayed as overwhelmingly emotional, breaking down and crying every few pages. This portrayal feels excessive and detracts from her character's strength and depth. More than halfway through the book (chapter 15 out of 20), I’ve encountered minimal progression in the actual story. Instead, the narrative seems overly focused on describing the intricacies of each world Sally visits, which often feels unnecessary and detracts from the pacing. Only now is there a hint of resolution, but it comes too late to fully engage me as a reader. Overall, I find myself struggling to finish the book, driven only by the need to know how it concludes. It’s disappointing to see such a beloved character and universe presented in a way that doesn’t live up to its potential.

absolutely captivating
the nightmare before christmas was one of my favorite movies as a kid, and it absolutely warms my heart that this author made a book based on sally's point of view. its interesting to see sally growing in terms of love, and i adore how she finally discovers herself. amazing read !

Amazing story
I really enjoyed this story. I love where the author chose to start the story. The road that the pumpkin has to take is a long one full of discovery. I was investing in Sally’s journey for the very beginning. I loved watching Sally grow into herself. The backstory and world building was amazing. I love how the author what is known and loved and then expanded and made it their own. It is a wonderful story.

I always felt Sally needed her own story and glad to know that she has one. In love with his book. I am a nightmare before Christmas fan and just love how the Author came up with this book.
