Belt leaves black marks on my white jeans

I got the black version of this belt. It is ok. However, it leaves black marks around the entire waist area on my white jeans. It probably does on other jeans as well, just that they may not be as easily visible as they are on the white jeans. This shouldn't happen. I regret buying it.

Just okay

This belt seems to run small. I usually buy my belts one size up but this sized up belt fit like my actual size. Also, the material is very stiff so it can be uncomfortable if you are wearing it all day. The buckle is also off center so needs better quality control. Got it on last act so cannot return it.
