Flatware to Love
We searched for months, for a "daily use" flatware set made with quality & style. Bought the Oneida VOSS a few weeks ago. This flatware is hefty, not a lightweight, dainty pattern. The design of the handle feels very good "in hand", both to my smaller hand, and for my husband, too. Although the forks are a bit larger than average, I am happy with them. We use our VOSS flatware to compliment our FiestaWare dishes. It's a perfect fit. I use this as comparison: Think of Crayola crayons. VOSS is not the regular sized crayon, it's the chunky, kindergarten sized crayons. :-) We love this flatware. If you want something substantial, not flimsy, this is a great pattern.
Heavy Flatware
My husband and I really liked the look and feel of this flatware when we looked at it in the store. We wanted something solid and slightly on the larger size. We also liked the fact that it looked simple and timeless. After a couple of weeks after using the Voss flatware, we have decided to return it. The ends are too heavy and frequently fall off the sides of our plates. Since we entertain often and enjoy casual seating around our home, rather than always sitting formally around a table, it is somewhat embarrassing when guests' forks keep falling off their plates.
love the set
I bought this set- got the best deal, though it took awhile to ship. The set is a nice weight and size. Friends that have used them have asked me where I bought them and I would highly recommend the set. I bought when Macy's had a buy one set ( on sale ) and get a 4 place setting for free- so I ended up with a 24 place setting set. They are bigger than my last set and heavier, so I keep 10 place settings set to the side for when I have large gatherings. But even at the current price -- this is worth getting.
Perfect!
We wanted silverware that wasn't going to bend when things got tough, but still looked somewhat elegant so that we could use it at family gatherings. This set doesn't disappoint! Nice heavy, sturdy pieces, with a little flair that makes them unique and not "girly". I've had to switch dishwasher liquid (to something with no lemon so it won't eat away at the finish), but I'm happy to do it for this set to last.
Just what I searched for!
This flatware is excellent for everyday use. It is appropriately heavy, durable and pretty! The serving pieces are an added bonus! Oneida is a trusted brand.
OUTSTANDING
My husband and I absolutely love this set. It is sturdy and heavy yet elegant enough for entertaining. After 42 years of marriage, we have gone through several sets. This is the best one yet and one that will last our lifetime. Only wish I had purchased it sooner!
Beautiful flatware
We just bought the Voss flatware to replace our old everyday flatware. We love this flatware! It has a really nice heavy weight feel. The design is very simple and modern. We are now going to buy 2 more sets so we can use this instead of our silver on the holidays. It is just as beautiful and it can go in the dishwasher - need I say more. Love the set!
Excellent Flatware Set!
We received these from our wedding registry to replace our current lower end flatware set. We LOVE them! The quality is excellent and they are heavy enough not to bend or become misshapen. Even if you have a flatware set already I would recommend replacing your current set with these! Oh and there is no strange metal taste (that you can sometimes get with lower end flatware items). The ONLY thing bad about this set is there is no butter knife or scalloped spoon. I kept the ones from my old set.
