Shipping disaster

Packaging was destroyed when delivered. Clearly it was mishandled along the way as the box was missing part of one side and the protective material inside was crushed. One of the items in the box was broken as a result. I called Macy’s to let them know and was told another one would be shipped and to throw away the broken items. I did so and later received an email stating I needed to return the broken items. Too late for that. The items that survived the shipping process look great and will work well.

One of the oil trays is chipped. I called and you have to return to store or UPS back on your dime. Not very good customer service.

What has happened to this company?

Macy’s has really gone down! I ordered this item as a gift, and it was shipped to me without a interior box, which typically would have had RR name and face on the box, instead I only received a brown postage box which had my address on it and that’s it! I called Macy’s and of course a rep who barely understands English said that the item does not come with a box??? What??? Since when has any RR product ever been shipped without her signature box? The rep then said that’s an issue with the sender so a claim has to be filed?? So, who is the sender??? So, customers are ordering items from Macy’s, but instead they are really purchasing the items from a 3rd party seller??? This is ridiculous! I stopped shopping with Lord and Taylor years ago, as they outsourced everything, and now it appears I will have to add Macy’s to the list as well!
