Ordered a mattress & platinum adjustable base, & received an adjustable base as a free gift. I scheduled delivery on Saturday to avoid taking off work. I received a confirmation call Thursday confirming delivery between 9:15-11:15 AM Saturday. On Saturday morning I received a text message saying my delivery was scheduled for today. After holding myself hostage for 6 hours & speaking with 3 different customer service “supervisors,” I learned that the mattress was not in stock and therefore not on the delivery truck, they did not put the platinum adjustable base on the truck, & once they realized the only item on the truck was the free base, they canceled the delivery without telling me. This customer service experience has been the worst I’ve ever had. Do yourself a favor, call Mattress Firm. They price matched, included the free base, scheduled delivery within 72 hours, & have a personal sales representative located in the U.S. (not overseas like all of Macy’s customer service reps).
What Went Wrong
I have the Queen 16" medium pillow top. Was so excited first night. Reps have come to home to examine. Never resolved. Have joint soreness in knees. Mattress rolls downhill and get humps in mid. Beautiful mattress. Sleepless rest. Pillow placed under knees, some help. Not sure if can correct. Bought online without trying sample. Could just cry. Hate to give bad reviews but this is my reality.
Not a good bed for old bones!
I purchased the Cobalt Calm 14" Medium Pillow Top. My S&F was 17 yrs old and starting to sag causing lower back pain. I thought this Serta would be the perfect mattress for me cooling support with pillow top comfort. While my lower back pain was taken care of with the support unfortunately every thing else started to ache. For reference I'm 59. I would awaken with pain in my shoulders, neck, hips and every joint in my body!? It's the oddest thing! I waited the appropriate time to break in the bed & I rotated it every 2 weeks for 3 months. I couldn't take it anymore and returned the mattress. In only 1 night back on my old Stearns & Foster the lower back pain started but everything else went away. I read the reviews prior to my purchase & so many love this mattress but I do recall reading of 1 couple that experienced the same issues I had and I wonder if it has to do with age. I do not recommend this mattress to anyone my age or older!

Harder than Medium
The mattress is more than medium . Its very hard and will need many years to make it comfortable. Hips and back hurt when I get up !!! Would not recommend this mattress !!!!!!
I LOVE THIS MATTRESS!
This is the best mattress I have ever had in my life. I am 67 years old and I cannot tell you how much I enjoy sleeping on this mattress. I bought a different mattress at a different store before I had total knee replacement surgery recently, and had to return it. It was hard as a rock! This mattress is absolutely fantastic! Not only do I sleep through the night, I wake up, absolutely pain-free! I highly recommend the Serta Perfect Sleeper Cobalt Blue pillow top medium mattress set to everyone.

Finally, Scoliosis supportive!
One year of stressful bed experiences and I am finally thrilled and in love with my bed. I sold myself on the Hotel Collection thinking spending top dollar would provide best comfort…Wrong! One year of research went into finding the right bed without breaking the bank. Lessons learned. Go with a known bed brand! I was 30 year runner and a rear ended car crash changed all of that. I am 63 and very active thanks to my chiropractor & PT.😄. I have scoliosis, spondylolisthesis and osteoporosis. Dropped the pandemic weight lol, building up core and feeling awesome. Sleep number one important activity. I am in love with my bed. I did add a 2 inch NASA approved queen topper as I would need on any bed; however, I slept a couple of nights on my new Serta with minimal issues. The adjustable bed totally rocks! No sinking after a month. Very very comfortable. Love the 12 in space under adjustable frame for storage. Thank you Serta!♥️

Sheer heaven
I’m so glad I bought this mattress! It is so comfortable and supports my body in the proper places for a great night’s sleep! The first night I noticed I had no sciatic leg pain as I usually did sleeping on my other mattress. Best purchase ever!
