Quality blanket but not what I need
This quality heated blanket slowly and gently warms. Since it’s winter in Detroit Michigan I would prefer more warmth and faster than it provides. This mid-weight blanket is generously sized and drapes more like a quilt than a plush blanket. Unfortunately the soft velvet underside slips and slides all over the bed on my sateen sheets. The blanket moves around the bed during the night until one side rests on the floor and the other side barely covers my body. Since the electric wires go from edge to edge in all directions, you can’t tuck it in under the foot of the bed to stabilize its position. Also the controller has no countdown capability for the programmable timer to show the time remaining on the heating cycle. I would not recommend it to a friend.
Great electric blanket!
We ordered this blanket just in time for the cold winter weather! It heats very warmly (including preheating), and also is soft and comfortable. The dual controls are just right for us. It was a little hard to figure out how to put it on the bed, but we wouldn't part with it now. The king size blanket was just the perfect size for our king size bed. Pricey but worth the money. Would definitely buy again.
Not that happy
Doesn't heat the bed as well as I want it too. Plus the blanket doesn't stay on the bed as well as the previous heated blanket. I wouldn't purchase again but won't get rid of this one.
Just what I needed for winter
Nice medium weight blanket that provides even heat when the electrical heating components are used.
Poor connection
The plugs would not stay plugged in.
Soft & comfortable
The blanket is soft & beautiful. The heat is even throughout & comfortable. It has timing & heat controls that are easy to use. Our only complaint is that light for the controls do not stay on, making the settings difficult to see. Other than that, so far we are very happy with it.
Shavel makes "The Best" electric blankets.
We love our "Shavel" electric blankets. They are heavyweight and durable. However, I ordered the "Ultra Velvet" blanket. In the 'Wine" color. But, it is actually a "Plum" color. Pretty, but very different color from our other, "7 layer flannel" blanket. That we have, in "Wine".
Perfect electric blanket!!
Bought this for my princess and the pea adult daughter. Received a look of disgust once opened. Then she very skeptically gave it a try. Next day “ oh by the way that blanket was lovely very soft and warm thank you” Believe me it must be magnificent!
