this book was amazing all the twists and turns were spectacular and the characters were so deep and loveable. one of my top fav series so far!

AHHH

Oh my gosh! I love this series!! The best characters AND great writing! The development is amazing and the characters are relatable!!! And it’s a show on Netflix!!!!

Didn't grab me

There's been a ton of hype around this book since its release in 2015, but the actual novel didn't live up to all that hype, in my opinion. I am a huge fan of Ninth House, which is why I was so excited to read this, but Bardugo's talents do not shine thorough in this one like they do in her Alex Stern series. Despite having an array of characters from diverse backgrounds, Bardugo didn't give them much emotional depth, which made them impossible to care about. This is also supposed to be a heist story, full of intrigue and suspense, but the pacing of the novel is so slow and anticlimactic that I found myself bored throughout the majority of the book. I DNF'd 3/4 of the way in and I have absolutely zero desire to pick it back up again.
