smitten with my smeg

besides being the most fashionable toaster in looks, it toasts perfectly! Really wide mouths for bagels with browning on one side. Great little appliance.

I'm in love with this toaster

This is a state of the art toaster that is beautiful and functional. With it's clean lines and gorgeous colors, I am tempted to get another. I got the mint green, but I also want the pink one. The green is a very light seafoam green. In the pic it looks almost aqua but it is a true pastel green, aka seafoam or light mint. It makes perfect toast and has wide slots. At first, try it on a lower setting because the darker settings makes the toast really dark. Setting #3 works well for me. This toaster even has a setting to toast the inside of bread more than the outside, if you want your bagels softer on the outside than the inside. It is a work of art and it works perfectly. I am thrilled with my purchase!

Just didn't last

I purchased this SMEG 2 slice toaster in Jan of 2016 and had generally been happy with it. I love the appearance and style and it toasts evenly. However, it's a challenge to toast thinly sliced bread because it frequently falls off the platform and gets stuck in the toaster. It was annoying but I could have lived with that. Until yesterday. Now the toaster does not toast at all! It warms bread, but no longer toasts, even after two full cycles on the highest setting. I expect more from this product.

Works Great

I love everything about this toaster. Evenly toasts both sides. Easy pull out crumb tray for cleaning. Plus it looks beautiful.

HIGH END TOASTER

Based in Italy, Smeg is known for its retro and durable kitchen appliances. Featuring an energy-efficient design, this 2 Slice Toaster is both fun to use and easy on the eyes. I bought it in the chrome as it is shiny and matches everything.... My toast is now very toasty! I'll never buy a different brand again! Love the little fridge by SMEG too! Love it!

Quality

Love the Chrome; looks great in my newly remodeled kitchen. Heavy duty - toasts evenly so far. I love its look kind of retro but sleek. Can fit in any look, whether it is traditional; transitional or modern. Cord is kind of large, but the plug is a lighter grey color instead of black. Blends in more. All the quality small appliances I own have larger plugs and cords.
