Too heavy for fine porcelain china but decorativel

Stunning mug but nowhere near 12 oz

This mug, and the one with the black background, are both stunning and so unique looking! I’ve been seeking a new beautiful mug for ages and finally found these. I’m not sure why, but the capacity of the mug is grossly overestimated- there is no way it fits 12 oz of liquid in it. It’s barely 9 oz. This error is on every retailer website, so, I’m guessing the incorrect information comes directly from the manufacturer. I also don’t love that these can’t be heated in the microwave, but I went into ownership of these already knowing that would be the case. It’s not really convenient to have to dump my coffee or tea into another container to heat it up, and then pour it back into this mug to resume my elegant drinking session… but I do it for the elegant experience.

Disappointing

It is much smaller than I expected and definitely does hold 12 oz. Unfortunately, I will have to return it. While it is beautiful, I prefer a larger mug for my tea. As someone else said, it is simply not my cup of tea LOL.
