Description Should Dog Specs

Purchased this for obvious reasons- have both cats and dogs so lookin for a way to stop the dogs from helping themselves to the cat buffet. While the design of this piece addresses just this, it doesn’t prevent my medium sized dogs (beagle & terrier mix) from stepping into the entry and then simply turning their necks to reach the litter boxes and their contents. Perhaps large dogs won’t be able to do this but small and medium sized dogs can easily make their way in. To resolve this I placed a small step stool in the center entry area and now the dogs aren’t able to reach the litter boxes. Not pretty to look at but I wasn’t willing to go thru the return process. Live & learn. The scratch pad does help prevent the tracking of cat litter.
