Great tumbler, lousy straw design

The tumbler is beautiful and the lid seals well. But the straw design is terrible. I don't know if it's because it's a flexible silicone straw, but when I fill the cup and then put the lid and straw on the tumbler together, the liquid inside squirts out through the top of the straw (like it honestly shoots out like a geyser.) And when I try putting the lid on without the straw and then inserting the straw on its own, the same thing happens, to a lesser degree. It's also difficult to drink through the straw because it gets somewhat cinched by the lid. I like the cup, so I'm going to keep it. But I'm going to have to find a stainless straw to use with it :(
