Trotters sizes are unreliable!

I wanted to love these shoes. I start a new job in three days and really needed some fresh, new, comfortable nice shoes for work. I wanted a pair in black, and a pair in brown. The problem is that I have a wide foot and that makes finding shoes hard. I found two pairs of Trotters online at Macy's and ordered them in the sizes that I felt like would work. The black pair I ordered in 10WW because 10W wasn't available. But the black pair was way to long and just fell off of my foot! I ordered the brown pair (similar style, same brand) in 10.5 W because 10W wasn't available. I couldn't even get my foot into the 10.5 W!!! Way too small! Take a look at the picture and explain to me how the black size 10WW is so much longer and larger than the 10.5 W. Unfortunately, both pairs are being returned. :(

Up in the air

I purchased a regular size 9. The 9 seemed either just right to a touch tight. However, the width was sooo tight. Now I don't know if I should go for a 9W or even 9WW? ( fyi my foot is just wide enough to usually fit a normal width sometimes a wide.)

Cute but returning

I love the look of these shoes however they are just too big. I ordered the size 6 but I need a 5.5. My problem right now is that because of Covid-19 I can’t return the them for an exchange. No one answers the phone and the website will. To allow me to print the return label. It just says ERROR bc of Covid. What, no one working from home.
