  • Don't forget to use a plastic bag cut to the size of the press. This helps to press and remove tortillas from the tortilla press. Also make sure dough isn't too wet or sticky

Super heavy and...

Super heavy and when I got it I wash it and it started to get all orange??????? I just washed it !

Extra care will last you fit ever

Great item, I read the reviews before I purchased the press. The review say it’s heavy and that’s to be expected it’s cast iron made to last. Another review said it turned orange that’s because again it’s cast iron and it should be dried throughly and if needed with a paper towel seasoned with coking oil. Use wax paper too & bottom of masa then Press. No clean up

Too thick

This press would not reduce tortillas to appropriate thinness. They came out like thick pitas after many attempts. Ours were produced by weight so we knew the final size we were going for and this was nowhere close.

A good hearty press

Heavy press, but being a cast iorn its expected. I use it to make Indian Rotis. The press is strong and holding up so far.

Great tortilla press!

Excellent press! First batch of corn tortillas came out well. I still need to work on the perfect dough, but that comes with practice. 1 .For the person who said it was orange after wash. It's made of cast iron, special care is needed for cast iron. Cleaning instructions included. 2. For the person who said it was too small. Technically this press is for "corn" tortillas, so the size is perfect. If you want to make flour tortillas, you need to roll those out with a rolling pin.

Instructions in Spanish

It's heavy, one has to figure it out oneself because the instructions are in Spanish. It's not that hard to figure it out but I'm going to call Victoria because the bottom is heavier than the top and I think I need weight on top to flatten the tortillas. We'll see.

Easy to use!

It's a bit heavy but it is because it is made of iron so it's durable.
