Simple design to go with everything

Largest size found at 12.5". Great for cutting a homemade pizza because of it's flat surface (no curved lip). Looks good on the table because of it's neutral color (no ugly metal).

Excellent buy!

Been looking for bowl to use for our Asian soups and tried a few already. This I'm very happy I use it for rice, generous serving of soup, cereal you name it. Beautiful porcelaine and well made.Thank you. Macy's for carrying this line of dishes

Gorgeous but NOT WHITE

I was so upset when I got these plates because I LOVE them - but the color is misrepresented on this web site. They are smooth, high quality porcelain, sturdy but lightweight and absolutely even with no seconds flaws in the glaze. But they are off-white, ivory, cream, "cottage white," and too pigmented to blend with the other white serving pieces I already own. Believe the photos, not the label "white." If you don't need a true white, then definitely buy these.

Nice wedding gift

I purchased the set as part of a wedding gift, I feel like giving anything Villeroy and Boch is good. I bought the large white Villeroy and Boch bowl to go with it. Who doesn't need a classic, beautifully crafted salad service? I would use the set for serving vegetables like baby broccoli.

Beautiful but flawed

I really wanted to love these bowls - they are beautiful, very simple, clean design, heavy and not easily breakable, but they run on the smaller side and they get very very hot in the microwave. All in all, I wouldn't register for them if I could start over.

Beautiful

This salad server set is simple, elegant, and timeless. They're a good size to grab an appropriate portion size in one go which makes serving that much faster.
