My Walkabout 7 Review
The Walkabout 7 is actually a pretty good little suitcase. Very strong and sturdy exterior. When I first arrived and I unboxed it my 6 year old son thought it would be a great idea to jump on it take a ride down the hallway in our house. That suitcase took it like a champ. The wheels were smooth and flew across the floor like it was floating. My son was fine and had a blast. Although small in size, surprising was able to hold several outfits for my business trip. I recommend this suitcase 10/10.

Travelpro Walkabout 7 - tougher than TSA, Smooth as jazz
After dragging this champ through TSA trenches, some crazy rough asphalt, and a cross-country flight, I half expected it to arrive looking like modern art. Nope—Walkabout 7 shrugged off baggage handling like it was a spa day. It's featherlight but fierce. I loaded it up for several seasons worth of weather while visiting Oregon wine country then added several bottles of Pinot on the way home yet it glided beside me like it was weightless. It rolls like a dream - cobblestones, cracked pavement, airport carpet mazes… this thing handles terrain like it's auditioning for a rally race. After coast-to-coast travel, not a dent, scratch, or tantrum thrown. It held its shape and dignity better than I did. If you're looking for a suitcase that rolls smoother than your Monday coffee and withstands more drama than your group chat—this is it!

Walkabout 7 for the win!
This hard case has all the features of the Travelpro line of luggage that I have come to trust for years. The exterior is hard but flexible and lightweight. It has a brushed finish that hides scuffs and scratches well. The wheels roll smoothly and turn on a dime. My carpal tunnel hands appreciate the ergonomic handle which feels sturdy even the case is fully packed. I love thoughtful touches like the grab handles and protective rubber feet for when you need to set your suitcase down on the dirty airport floor or sidewalk. I have owned and loved the Maxlite series for years, and I expect that the Walkabout 7 will be just as great, if not better. Some things to consider for future designs: 1) Please provide an ability to lock the wheels so they only roll forward and backward and not in all directions. This would be helpful when the case is heavy and unweildy. 2) Please make the interior organizational flap completely removeable. There are times I don't want to use it and it just gets in the way, and 3) Please consider colors that "pop" out of the sea of black/blue/red/beige cases out there in every carousel in every airport.

Nice simple carryon
Nice lightweight carryon. Suitable for shorter trips. Compact enough to easily fit in the overhead an ERJ175.

Perfect Lightweight Hardside for 5-7 days travel
I recently received TravelPro's new addition to the Walkabout series; a new medium-sized hardside expandable suitcase for my upcoming travels, and I’ve been pleasantly surprised by its performance. The hard shell feels solid and offers excellent protection—no more worrying about delicate items getting squashed. Despite its robust build, the suitcase is impressively lightweight, making it easy to maneuver even when fully packed. The interior is well-organized with a zippered divider on one side and compression straps on the other, which helps keep everything in place during transit. I especially appreciated the smooth 360° spinner wheels, which made carrying it from car to hotel room and at airports a breeze. I like its sleek design and just enough flair which makes it stand out on the baggage carousel without looking flashy. I have used the carry-on hardside TravelPro suitcases before and this is a perfect companion to my carry-on. Overall, it’s a fantastic choice for frequent flyers or road trippers who need something reliable, roomy, and easy to handle.

Awesome piece of luggage
It is sturdy and strong. The zipper glides very well. I have many travel pro bags. And as always they never disappoint. The only thing I did not quite like was the color I am not partial to purplish red colors. Being expandable is a must for me so this was a great feature. Travelpro stands by their product if anything were to go wrong. This is very important. It is lightweight and sleek clean design. I am on my way back from Spain on a 4 week vacation and the luggage has held up without any visible dents. Love the bag.

Solid Suitcase
I was excited to receive this large, hard-side suitcase. My soft-side Travelpro suitcase that I have had for years is starting to show its age and I have been debating whether to get another soft-side or a hard-side. Overall, I think this hard-side is great! It's big and I like the inner zippered pockets. The one thing I would change is I would switch the inner zippered pockets to the left side and leave the open area on the right side. I have not had a chance to travel with this suitcase yet, but I am concerned I will need to change my packing technique as the two straps on the left side will not be able to hold my clothes in place with my usual method of rolling everything. Since most people unzip a suitcase and open by lifting and moving the left side up and over, I think it would make more sense to have the zippered pockets on the left side. Otherwise, I think the suitcase seems very durable and I like the cranberry color!
