Disappointed

I was going to use this for kitchen storage. I was very excited to assembly it until I took it out of the box and noticed the wood was separated from the side of the shelf area. There's no way I can assembly this. I called Macy's and I'm getting a full refund. They told me not to bring it back it's not sellable.
