A great block set

Four Star knives are one of Zwilling’s best collections. The high carbon stainless steel cuts through anything with ease. The knife is on the lighter side, which is great if you are cutting for long extended periods of time, or if you need a light knife for arthritis, etc.. The block set assortment is great and not an overabundance of knives. Also since it’s in a self-sharpening block, you don’t have to worry about your knives dulling out or having to sharpen them, such a great aspect to the knife set!

Should've would've could've

I purchased the Four Star set for my parents for Christmas. They love their knives. Very happy with the quality and weight. The only drawback is they do not sharpen them. This built in sharpening block would've been a great alternative. Love the dark wood.

Great block set for the Gourmet

This is a great set if you want to have the essential knives available for use in your kitchen. With the Gourmet, this knife stands out from other stamped knives, because of the high carbon stainless steel that has been ice hardened, creating a knife that will stay sharper longer, not be prone to chipping and have lasting durability. It looks a lot like the Pro collection, but at a more inexpensive price point. Also, since this is a self-sharpening block set, you never have to worry about sharpening your knives, the block does that for your straight edge blades, very innovative!

So happy to have this collection in a self sharpening block! The knives are sharp, sturdy and balanced. Good news, they will keep that way with this block. I like having the extra slots to add my steak knives.

Staying sharp!

Nice set of German knives, with a sharpener built into the block. Sharp every time we use them. The knives included are very practical. I like that there were additional slots so we could add steak knives.

Looking Sharp

Attractive storage block in dark wood with matte stainless faceplate, does dual duty as a sharpener. Keep your knives sharp each time you remove and return them to their designated slot. The paring slot also sharpens straight edge steak knives, which can be safely stored in the additional slots.

Contemporary

Step into the present time with this self sharpening block set. The 7 pc selection is a perfect starting point. you will never need to sharpen your knives again. The knives are balanced and comfortable to hold. I like the classic three rivet deign of the handle.
