Product Details
Web ID: 2306851Rod is not oval
My husband has done some research and learned that an oval rod is better than a round one, so I specifically looked for oval. The item arrived yesterday, and now I have to return it and hope that I can find one that I want before Christmas (in eight days).

Keep Your Knives Sharp!
The honing steel will realign your knife edge bringing it back to that "out of the box" sharpness. You should use this any time your knife isn't cutting the way you want it to, although some use it every time they cut. The beauty of a honing steel is that you can't do it too much; it doesn't take metal off of your knife. It's simple to do but a video on the website really helps. This 12" steel can handle up to a 10" knife. Remember, dull knives are more dangerous than sharp ones.
